Everybody Poops.....

Except pregnant women.

Seriously. They need to change that "potty training" book so that wee little ones can understand the trials and tribulations that their mothers went through.

We are into our 9th week. It seems weird to say that we're about 9 weeks pregnant. My life has now turned into a series of weeks instead of months and years. I continue to hold my breath ever so slightly until we hit the 13th week mark and we can say that the first trimester is behind us.

Our mothers are dying to shout from the rooftops that they're expecting another grandchild. I'm sure they already have (in secret) but continue to tell us they've kept it to themselves. My father wisely reminded me tonight that when we tell one person we have to be prepared for everyone to know.

So far no major red flags. Lots of nausea and night-time vomiting - which I suppose is better than early morning sickness or during the day sickness when I have to try to hide it at work. But other than that and a few aches and pains, I've been rather lucky....I have a few specialist appointments coming up to determine if a health condition I've had since a child will pose any problem while pregnant, but our fingers are crossed and our hopes are high.

Now if only I could be regular and not all uncomfortable and bloated....life would be just great!
